On Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2023, our beloved Ronald Basil Kent of Victoria, VA went to meet his Heavenly Father. Our joy and his journey began here on Earth April 8, 1949, the son of Father Reginald Herbert Kent, Sr. and Eleanor Catherine Jennings Kent. Ronald was born in Richmond, VA and was the third of four sons.

He started school in Lunenburg Country, VA. His father was transferred to another church in Pennsylvania, moving the family. Ronald attended the new school in Chester, PA and later to Downingtown Industrial and Agricultural School. After his military career he obtained an Associate of Applied Science Degree (Library Technology) at the Mesa Community College, Arizona where he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

He enjoyed his job in the military and traveling the world very much. He was a diligently hard worker. During his free time he enjoyed volunteering at his daughter’s school, Kenston Forest, as a Cross Country Coach. He could be heard telling the runners, “HEY NO WALKING”!

While serving overseas duty, Ronald met and married his wife, Susan Batadlan. After a loving courtship, Ronald and Susan married on March 5, 1992, from this union one child, Jamila Lynnor Kent was born.
