Obituary for Robert Jerry Clay
Robert Jerry Clay, 50, entered into eternal rest at his home on Sept. 20, 2021. Bob as he was affectionally called was born May 11, 1971 in Queens, N.Y. to parents John Phillip Clay, Sr and Patricia Ann Clay. He attended Amelia County High School after relocating to Virginia with his parents and brothers. After High School Bob became a professional truck driver/owner operator (Clay’s Trucking). He enjoyed many hobbies such as watching football, basketball and boxing as well as working on his project car, “Mr. Jingles”, he loved listening to his favorite music that would touch his soul. He was the life of all his parties and was always the grill master; but the most important hobby to him was the time he devoted and the time he spent with his family, parents, brothers and close friends. Bob was a family man that cared for his family well.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Allison “AJ” and Georgia Corley, Aunt Vermel “Ruth”Giggetts, Uncle Youngblood “AL” and Cousin Sherri Corley Lewis.

He is survived by his Devoted wife; Dimetria Clay, 2 Sons, Marcus Lamont and Robert Aaron Clay, Daughter; Brianna Michelle Clay; grandson; Raury Aaric Clay; Parents; John Phillip , Sr.and Patricia Ann Clay, 2 Brothers, John Phillip Clay, Jr (Tracie) and Westley Hardin Clay (LaToya), Nephews, John Phillip III, Sean, Justin and Westley Jr Clay. Nieces; Aliyah, Abigail and Sarah and 2 great Nieces.

Paternal Grandmother; Doris E. Booker of Queens N.Y. 2 Sister – In- Law, Tameika Harrison and Augusta Banks along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and a host of Friends, including devoted Tracey and Carroll Hockaday.
Bob is known for his easy- going personality and even- keeled demeanor. He will be greatly missed by many.
