Obituary for Richard H. Harris, Jr.
Richard H. Harris, Jr., son of Richard Harris, Sr. and the late Julia J. Harris was born July 30, 1961, he departed this life on Thursday, July 7, 2016.
Richard attended Richmond public schools. He worked at U.S. Residential Group in Upper Marlboro, MD as a maintenance supervisor. He was certified in CFC, CPO and Universal HAVC. He was also known for his painting and carpentry skills, which he passed on to his sons and nephews. He was a very hard worker, always doing side jobs with his sons or working on someone’s vehicles. He was depended on by his family and friends and always came through. He was a father figure to many.
He enjoyed life and lived life to the fullest, enjoying fishing, boating, hunting, camping and cooking, whether inside or out on the grill. He was the road captain for Tru Linkz, MC and enjoyed riding with his MC family and kids. His main focus was always on his family and his children, who were his world and he was theirs.
Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Diane P. McMillion, and leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Crystal Harris, Bryan Harris (Joaniss) and their mother, Cheryl Harris, Tyree Lovejoy, Ashley Lovejoy, Deontea Lovejoy and their mother, Kathaleen Lovejoy, Kendale Hudson, Shamara Hudson and their mother Donna Harris, Jordan Wilson and his mother Jennifer Wilson; nine grandchildren, Charles Woolfolk IV, Kavon Wright, Iyonna Harris, Aliaha Wright, Isaiah Lovejoy, Jazmyn Harris, Jordynn Morton, Sophia Harris, Bryan Harris Jr.; two sisters and three brothers, Micheal Harris (Mary), Maxie Harris (Bernice), Ricky Harris (Arletta), Tilda Lewis-Chalkley (James), LaShawn Blackwell (Gus); four brothers at heart, Kelly Casebolt (Gwen), Bernard Lewis Sr., Charlie McMillion, Wayne Rose; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, July 16, 206 at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Grenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
