Obituary for Richard A. White
RICHARD A. WHITE departed this life on September 7, 2011 at Heritage Hall Healthcare Center in Blackstone, VA. He was the son of the late John and Ardella White. Richard was born on October 13, 1934 in Frederick, MD.
Richard, fondly known as “Buddy” received his education in the Brunswick and Frederick School System. His employment career of twenty-two years was spent at the City of Rockville, Rockville, MD as an Utility Technician.
Buddy enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved everyone and was loved by many. He loved to hunt, fish and listen to music, especially “Oldies but Goodies.” Buddy had a good heart and he will be missed, but memories will always last.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, but he leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving wife Claire of twenty-four years; his daughter, Renee’ Raymond (Guy) of Maryland; his step children, Evangelist Diane Gilchrist (Kevin), Deborah King (John) and Sean Waye, all from Maryland; grandchildren, Julian, Jeanette, Ericka, Candice, Mia, Andrianna and Imani; three brothers, John White, Jr. of Manhattan, MO, Stanley (Kathy) and William (Jackie) of Maryland; one sister, Betty M. White of Maryland; many nieces, especially Connie, Lynn, Shiara and Denise; many nephews, other relatives and many devoted friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
