Reco Davon Hester, Sr., the son of Alonzo Hester and Barbara Henderson, was born on May 31, 1991 in Richmond, VA. He departed this life on December 4, 2022 at VCU/CMH in South Hill, Virginia.
Reco was a graduate of Nottoway High School. He enjoyed sports and watching the Washington Commanders He was the life of the party and loved having fun with his children.
Reco was preceded in death by his grandmother, Alberta Henderson; his grandfather, Merrial J. Shelton, Jr.; uncles, Keith Hicks, Richard Henderson; aunt, Charlene Henderson; brothers, Antonyo Henderson, Sr., and Deshane Henderson, Sr.
To cherish his memories, he leaves his mother, Barbara Henderson; father, Alonzo Hester; his children, Samarria Howard-Hester and her mother Brittany Howard, Reco Hester Jr. (RJ), Skylar Hester, MyAngel Hester and their mother Brittany Wade; grandmother, Edith Shelton; brothers, Brandy Henderson, Sr. and Alonzo Hester, Jr. (Ashley); aunts, Annie Henderson, Brenda Hicks, Fannie Marshall, Evelyn Stokes and Edith Henderson; uncles, Raymond (Carolyn) Henderson, Horace Henderson, and Edward Henderson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing: Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 12pm-7pm at W. E. Hawkes Funeral Home, Blackstone, VA
Funeral Service: Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2pm at Nottoway Middle School, Nottoway, VA.
Interment: Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone, VA
