Obituary for Rebecca 'Beck' Gallion
Rebecca A. Gallion (Ross) 78 of Victoria, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born April 8, 1939 in Amelia, Virginia to George B. and Mary Madge Ross.
Rebecca received Christ and was baptized at an early age and became a member of Bethia Baptist Church. She received her former education in Amelia County Public Schools. She was a member of 1956 graduating class of Russell Grove High School.
She moved to Richmond and obtained a job and later moved to Philadelphia and worked in the medical field. Some of the things Rebecca enjoyed were gardening, planting of beautiful flowers, baking fruit cakes but most of all she love the summer gathering with the family and friends.
Rebecca “Beck” as she was lovingly known as and greatly respected by all who knew her, always smiling and helping anyone.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gallion, her parents George B. and Mary Madge Ross and siblings: Theodore, Hazel, John Henry, Charlie, George E, Elnora (Ross) Nicholas, James Andrew, William (Willie), Frances (Mozell).
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Aileen Venable of Oakland, California, C. Claretta Ross of Richmond, Virginia, Mary Ann (William) Lee of Mechanicsville, Virginia, McKinley (Margaret) Ross of Midlothian, Virginia, Herbert (BB) Ross and Jesse Ross of Richmond, Virginia, sister-in-law Ruby Ross of Amelia, Virginia, Stepson, Derrick A Gallion Sr. (Pamela), stepdaughter Rita Cosby (Nelson), and step grandchildren, a very dear and close friend Dorothy Epps and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Amelia. Interment private
