Ray’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. “Doctor passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the age of 57, in his hometown of Amelia, Virginia. He was born to Della Jackson and Charlie Hill on December 14, 1965. After a courageous battle with cancer, he showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Doctor came out a hero and stayed strong until the end surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ray. He loved spending his day’s listening to music. He spent hours listening to gospel as well as some good R&B especially his favorite artist “Luther Vandross!” With music in the background I would hear him conversing back and forth with family and friends. He loved family and his family wasn’t just birth family but the many friends who were indeed family. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities.
