Obituary for Randolph Tabon
Randolph Tabon entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2013 at his home in Blackstone, VA. He was born on June 3, 1918. Randolph was the son of the late Tom and Liza Tabon.
Randolph was the husband of the late Anniebell Tabon. He was predeceased by one son Daniel Tabon, two daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters.
Randolph was raised and went to school in Lunenburg County. He was originally a member of Varick Chapel Church in Lunenburg County but later in life became a member of Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church.
Randy, Pops, or Granda as he was known to everyone, loved his family and friends wholeheartedly. He loved to sit and talk with them and tell them stories about his early life. He was known for giving his advice and passing on his words of wisdom.
He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Johnson; three step sons, Robert (Sheila), Richard (Sue), and Roy; six grandsons, Samuel, Ernest (Charlene), Waverly (Bridgette), Dwayne, Carlos and Demaurice; two granddaughters, Annie (Luther) and Carolyn (Eric); eighteen great grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alease Tabon; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Gazerine Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
