Randolph Elvis Lewis Sr., 68, departed this life on Monday, December 30th. Elvis, as he was
affectionately known, was born on November 26, 1956, in Crewe, Virginia, to Agnes Lewis
Martin and the late Grant Randolph Lewis. Educated in the Nottoway County Public School
system, he attended Watson School before relocating to Connecticut, where he graduated from
Weaver High School.
Elvis proudly served his country in the United States Navy, enlisting at an early age and
receiving an honorable discharge. His time in the Navy sparked a love for traveling, which
became a lifelong passion. In addition to his adventurous spirit, Elvis was known for his love of
food, his vibrant personality, and his devotion to his family and friends.
Elvis found joy in being the life of the party, bringing laughter and positivity wherever he went.
His generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need earned him the admiration and love
of those around him. Above all, Elvis loved the Lord and lived a life rooted in faith. Elvis was
baptized at Union Baptist Church where he deepened his spiritual commitment to God, which
guided him through life’s challenges and filled him with gratitude for his blessings.
Elvis was especially dedicated to his family, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Professionally, he worked at the United States Postal Service and later in life pursued his
interest in travel as an Independent Travel Agent with Inteletravel and Planet Net Marketing. He
also faithfully attended AA meetings across the country, demonstrating his commitment to
personal growth and supporting others in recovery.
Elvis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, and cherished memories. He is survived by
his beloved mother, Agnes Lewis Martin; his siblings, Eathell B. Lewis (Jim), Archie Lewis
(Doris), Michael Stokes (Ronetta), and Alphonzo Stokes; his children, Nicholas Kern, Tahira
Gordon, Randolyn Lewis, Rashida Griffin, Winston Lobban, LeSean Madison, Randolph Lewis
Jr., Shirrana Lewis, Bayla Felton, and stepdaughter Euniqua Davis (Thomas); 15
grandchildren—Tahari, Keion, Tajanae, Rahja, Nia, Winston Jr., Isiah, Ayanni, Micheal, Bryan
Jr., Ashaun, Josiah, Taylar, Zachary, and Arianna—and 4 great-grandchildren—Zamia, London,
Titan, and Zai’mere, and former wife Shirlene Lewis. He also leaves behind a host of nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, family, and friends who will forever treasure
his memory.
Elvis was predeceased by his father, Grant Randolph Lewis; paternal grandparents Alex and
Leola (Knight) Lewis; maternal grandparents George Sr. and Agnes (Morris) Jennings; uncles
Charles Jennings, George Jennings Jr., Donell Jennings, Carnell Jennings, Alvin Lewis, Harry
Lewis, Everett Lewis, Vernell Lewis, and Garland Lewis; as well as aunts Mary Lee Bradford
and Janice Fitzgerald.
