Obituary for Randal Sherwood Farrar
Randal Sherwood Farrar, age 65, of Richmond, VA departed this life at MCV Hospital in Richmond, VA on May 7, 2023.
Randy was born December 24, 1957 to the union of the late George and Edith Bland Farrar. In 1977, he graduated from Nottoway Senior High School. After graduation, Randy was employed by Governor Douglas Wilder Administration as a mail clerk. His work history also included employment with McCanliss and Houlton Law Firm and Troutman and Sanders Law Firm.
Randy had a kind spirit and showed it by loving his family and friends. He had the love of God and Jesus in his heart. Randy enjoyed traveling to Walmart to shop. His favorite team was Washington Commanders (formerly the Redskins). He was very passionate about watching his special TV shows.
The family is grateful for Warren (Poo), Randy’s ride or die brother, driver, cook, and friend who was available often to assist Randy.
Randy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Bethel Baptist Church. He served on the usher board at an early age. After relocating to Richmond, VA, he attended First Baptist Church.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents George, Sr. and Edith Farrar, brother Rodney Farrar, grandparents, George and Pattie Farrar, Soland and Emma Bland and grandchild Kobe Burnett.
