Obituary for Ralph Bailey, Jr.
Mr. Ralph Bailey, Jr., "Nature Boi", age 71 of Blackstone, VA died unexpectedly on January 14, 2022 at Johnston Willis Hospital. Ralph was born on March 1, 1950 to Rebecca Johnson and Ralph Bailey, Sr. He attended Nottoway Public School System and worked at J & E Finishing until he retired. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca L., Johnson, his father Ralph Bailey, Sr. and his brother Thomas Bailey, Sr.
Ralph's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his two devoted daughter, Tara "Poodie" Johnson of Hopewell, VA and Senitra "Nene" Fowlkes (Marcus) of Blackstone, VA; a devoted fiance of 31 years Sue Mitchell; two sisters, Rebecca L. Mills (Samuel) and Joeann Jones (Benton); one foster brother Fred Davenport (Ann); nine grandchidlren; one great grandson; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ralph loved playing basketball in his youth days. He enjoyed dancing and hanging out with his family and friends. He also loved his daughters, grandchildren and great grandson with everything in him.
Ralph gave his family and friends a vision for expressed love. When you saw him, you saw love, sharing, outhreach, concern and caring.
