Obituary for Rachel B. Bartlett
RACHEL B. BARTLETT was born to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bailey on September 16, 1958. She departed this life on December 29, 2008.
At an early age Rachel gave her life to Christ and became a member of Little Union Baptist Church and later joined Second Baptist Church in Richmond, VA.
Rachel met and married her loving husband, Robert Bartlett.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Bailey; three brothers, John D. Harris of New York, James and Curtis Bailey; one sister, Irene Bailey; and a nephew, Sammy Bailey.
Rachel leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband, Robert Bartlett; three sons, Neil Bailey, Thomas Bailey and Woodrow Melton, all of Richmond, VA; five step-sons; one daughter-in-law, Darlene Bailey; four sisters, Beatrice Pegram, Ruth Ford, Vera Trent and Bertamae Trent, all of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Pompey Bailey of Amelia, VA and James Harris of New York; twenty grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; four aunts; four uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Little Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
