Obituary for Priscilla E. Moore
On July 9, 2022, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blackstone, VA the Lord called home our beloved Priscilla Eppes Moore. Priscilla was born in Wellville, VA on December 25, 1929 to the late George and Maude Eppes. She was the youngest child of five children.
Early in life, she was baptized into Christian Fellowship at Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone, VA. She served as Church Clerk, a member of the choir, and a member of the Willing Workers Circle. Priscilla was educated in the public schools of Nottoway County, VA.
Priscilla worked various jobs throughout her life including a factory worker for Levi Strauss, a bus driver for Nottoway County public schools, and dietary personnel for Fort Pickett.
On March 7, 1964, Priscilla married Wiley Moore. Though no children were born to this union, she had many children who loved her just like a mother.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving niece, Iris Eppes and a loving nephew, Chermak Yates of Richmond, VA; a devoted godson, Carl Hawkes, Jr. and a devoted and loving goddaughter, Evelyn Hawkes of Blackstone, VA, and a host of cousins and friends.
