Pompey Eugene Nash, Jr. (aka PJ) transitioned from this life to his heavenly reward on May 15, 2021 in Richmond, VA peacefully after a tragic accident in December 2020.
He was born February 22, 1973 in Richmond, VA to Audrey Taylor and the late Pompey Eugene Nash, Sr.. For those who knew PJ, even just a little, lost a shinning star in their lives.
He graduated from Prince Edward High School in 1991. he was known for his love of cars, music, the Dallas Cowboys and his dog “Bear”.
PJ loved to call and check in on relatives, friends and loved ones, whether it was by phone or Facebook Messenger. He never missed a beat. Many looked forward to his calls.
He will be remembered for his talent, his quick wit, crazy jokes, stories and staying connected with family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pompey, Sr.; his sister, Eugenia Delphine Nash; grandparents, Charles and Earcell Robertson and Rosetta Nash.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Audrey Taylor of Crewe, VA; his grandfather, Pompey C. Nash of Boca Raton, FL; his uncles, Ken Nash of Boca Raton, FL, David Fowlkes (Leona) of Florida and Walter Robertson (Priscilla) of Crewe, VA; his aunts, Thelma Randolph of New York, Natalie Robertson, Shirley Fowlkes of Crewe, VA, Elsie Venable, Florence Nash of Rice, Julia Flippen of New Jersey and Estelle Hamlin of Florida; his god siblings, Dominique and Jasmine Mayton of Henrico, VA, Lashawna Fowlkes of Norfolk, VA, Jayden and Jayveon Warren of Rice, VA and Lagacy Rushing of Richmond, VA; and a host of cousin, family and friends.
Viewing Friday, May 21, 2021 from 1 to 7 pm. Funeral Services Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at High Rock Baptist Church, Rice. Interment church cemetery.
