On March 13, 1958, God blessed Perry and Marie Carter with their gift and they named him Perry Carter, Jr. (Junie). He was a devoted and caring son. On April 8, 20024, they opened their arms and said welcome to your new home son, where he was also reunited with his only son, Perry Carter, III. Trey was Perry’s heart, soul and twin.
Perry was affectionately called Junie, Perry Jr., Carter and Perry by his family and friends.
Perry graduated from Nottoway Senior High School in 1976. His parents taught him the values of love, hard work, and to trust God in all you do. He carried out those values his entire life. Perry accepted Christ and was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Perry worked several jobs: Central State Hospital, Richfood, other trucking companies and was owner of his own trucking company.
Perry loved basketball and other sports. He was a drag racing fan and had several race cars. He also loved WWF Wrestling. Perry will always be remembered for his love and devotion to his family and friends.
Perry is survived by his companion, Bessie; numerous cousins who were more like his siblings, (Blackwell’s, Foster’s, Jennings’s, Jeter’s and Mosby’s); his trucker friends; and neighborhood friends.
Perry will always be remembered and cherished for the lasting impact he made in each of our lives.
