Obituary for Pearly Mae Clark
Pearly Mae Clark “Nookie”, daughter of the late Helen Stokes and Mahlon Moses was born May 10, 1934 in Nottoway County, VA.  She entered into rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
 Pearly was educated in the Nottoway County School System.
 Pearly was a very loving and caring person.  She was a mother of many, loved babysitting, and was known mostly for her cooking, sewing and doing hair.  She also loved listening to music.
 Pearly was married to Curtis R. Clark in 1957, and to this union seven children were born.
 Pearly is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Clark; her brother, Robert Lee Stokes; sisters, Rebecca Maddux and Virginia Hardy. She leaves to cherish her memory:  her children, Leroy Stokes (Carolyn) of Blackstone, Helen Wallace, Curtis Clark (TiaJuanna), Sherman Clark (Denise) and Tammy Clark-Brown, all of Richmond, VA, Angela Sanderson (Quinton) of North Pole, Alaska and Shirley Clark of Richmond, VA; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson, Corey Q. Bryant, Jr.; one brother, Morris Stokes of Blackstone, VA; one sister, Shirley Prawl of Baltimore, MD; one sister-in-law, Sharon Clark Taylor of Richmond, VA; one brother-in-law, Wallace Clark of Nashville, TN; devoted friends, Louise Bailey, Hattie Jones, Anna Pearl Jesters and Angela Blackwell; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment to follow in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
