Obituary for Paul L. Mondrey
Paul Lind Mondrey, 72 of Richmond entered into eternal rest on May 7, 2022 after an extended illness. Paul was born on January 28, 1950 to William H. and Annie Gilliam Mondrey in Amelia, VA. He graduated from Russell Grove High School in 1969. After graduating he married Georgia Banks and had a daughter, Demetria (Dee Dee) Mondrey Clay. He later had another daughter, Augusta L. Banks.
After divorcing, he met and married Ann Nixon, adopted and helped raise her three children.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, William H. and Annie Gilliam Mondrey; sisters, Estelle Mondrey Tillmon and Sara Lee; brother, Thomas A. Mondrey.
He leaves to cherish his memories: 2 daughters; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; estranged wife, Ann Nixon; 3 adopted children; 3 brothers; 8 sisters; and his long-time friend and caregiver, Veda Gilmore.

Funeral Services will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00AM. Family will assemble at Michael Hawkes Funeral Home at 10:30AM
