Pattie Mae Smith was born March 22, 1943 in Burkeville, Virginia to Josh White and Viola  White who preceded her in death. Sisters Alice and Vivian, brother Bobby also preceded her in death.
A Time To Die:
Pattie departed this life on Tuesday, July 7th 2015 at 8:00 a.m. while at home.
A Time To Build:
Pattie attended school in Nottoway County. She was later blessed with a daughter Lucille. Pattie was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. Pattie developed a passion in nursing.
A Time To Plant:
Pattie once lived in Germany and Seattle Washington and later settled down in Richmond, Virginia where met her late husband Willie Smith. She was a member of Rising Star Missionary Circle and Pastor’s Aide. Pattie attended Love and Faith Fellowship in Richmond while away from her home church, and they embraced her with open arms.
A Time To Mourn:
Pattie leaves to cherish her legacy of life, a loving daughter Lucille; three grandchildren, Tatanisha, Shante (Ricky), and Reggie; great grandchildren, Juevonte, Marquise, N’Dia and Jayden; two brothers, Sam (Carol) of Teaneck, NJ and Buddy (Dreama) of Bronx, NY; four sisters, Lois Staton of Chester, Geraldine (Willie) of Richmond, Ruby of Burkeville and Priscilla (Tony) of Bronx, NY; a loving cousin Minnie Pearl; three devoted friends, Diana, Smiley and Gayle; a special and devoted friend, James Hendricks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pattie was known for her motherly instincts in caring for her nephews, Frank, Calvin, Hollis, Dawayne and Rayshon.
Funeral Services were held Monday, July 13, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church, Burkeville with interment Tuesday in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia.
