Obituary for Patsy Ann Knight
Patsy Ann Knight received her wings into eternal life on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at her home in Blackstone, VA. She was born August 28, 1940 in Lunenburg County to Frank and Illinoise Boswell.
Patsy graduated from Southside High School in Dinwiddie, VA. She was baptized at an early age and joined Shiloh Dinwiddie Baptist Church were she worked faithfully on the Pastor’s Aide Ministry; was one of the original Nurse’s Ministry for over twenty-five years; member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Ministry and the Women Fellowship Ministry.
Patsy met the love of her life, James R. Knight and they were joined in matrimony on November 28, 1961.
Patsy worked at Ft. Pickett (now Ft. Barfoot) where she devoted many years of her life. She also worked for Judge Moncure.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Sr.; son, James Jr.; daughter, Charlene; siblings Arlene, Sara Lee, Frank and Mary; three brothers-in-law Morris Hardy Jr., Charlie Carroll and Edward Wright. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons Edward Boswell of Petersburg, Ralph and Jerome (Tammy) of Blackstone; son-in-law Edward Henderson; daughter-in-law Tonia Knight; one sister Ida Hardy of McKenney; two sisters-in-law Cynthia Parham (Chester) of Warrington and Martha Boswell of Blackstone; a devoted caregiver Tanecha Knight; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral, Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Shiloh Dinwiddie Baptist Church, Blackstone.
Interment church cemetery.
