Obituary for Pastor Lowell A. Foster
Pastor Lowell A. foster, was born January 29, 1961 to Deacon Richard and Deaconess Georgia Foster in Cumberland, Virginia. He departed his earthly life on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
He attended the Cumberland County public schools and graduated in 1979. Pastor Foster attended the Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Cumberland, Virginia at an early age. After accepting Christ, he worked in various ministries and in 1994 he joined the Deacon’s Ministry.
On Saturday, April 23, 1983, he joined in wedlock to Miss Daisy O. Day. From this union one daughter, Danyelle, was born.
In 1994 he began his employment at Nottoway Correctional Center.
In 2003, he accepted the call to minister and preached his initial sermon at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
Pastor Foster was an ordained leader in the Baptist Ministry. He was licensed on November 6, 2004 and accepted the invitation as Associate Pastor at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
He was ordained on February 27, 2012 by Reverend Larry Smith, Pastor of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and served as an Associate Minister at Rocky Mount Baptist Church.
In February of 2011, he started his journey at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Cumberland, Virginia , preaching the word on Second Sundays, working with the youth department and assisting in various areas. Pastor Foster accepted the nomination as Associate Pastor at Mount Olive Baptist Church on June 18, 2011 under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Howard C. Cooper, Sr. He was the Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Pastor Foster was preceded in death by a brother Donnie, but leaves to cherish many blessed memories:Â his wife Daisy; his daughter Danyelle; son-in-law Dunni; grandson Caleb, which was the apple of his eye; his parents, Deacon Richard and Deaconess Georgia Foster; sister, Emma Watson; brothers, Michael (Jackie), Jeff (Angie), and Christopher (Phyllis); mother-in-law, Mattie L. Day; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, devoted friends, other relatives and friends.
