Obituary for Paigie M Belfon

God called home one of his faithful servants on January 4, 2025. Paigie completed high school and attended St Paul College. While at St Paul’s College, she was active in numerous organizations, was crowned Miss St Paul’s College, and joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She met her future husband at St Paul’s College, and after college, they married and moved to Harlem, New York, and later moved to Bronx, New York, where she resided for over 60 years before returning home. Paigie was baptized at an early at Alva Moore Presbyterian Church in Jetersville, VA and later joined Zion Hill Presbyterian Church, in Amelia, VA until her passing. Paigie touched everyone she met with her loving, warm demeanor, and the words of wisdom she shared in her gentle way.


Paigie was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Belfon Sr., her parents, Robert & Marie Anderson, brothers Robert S Anderson, Jr., Amzi A. Anderson, sister-in-law Eva Anderson, Naomi Anderson, Shirley Belfon, and Eileen Johnson. Paigie leaves to mourn her loss her very devoted son Phil C Belfon Jr., devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins: Ronald Belfon, Esq. (Angela), St. Thomas, US Virgin Island, Doris Lynn, Florida, Jean Anderson- Ahmed, Bronx, NY, Hugo Johnson, Bronx, NY, Amzi Anderson (Emmanuella), Brooklyn, NY, Collette Johnson, Bronx, NY, Karen Anderson-Walker (Carlen), Dinwiddie, VA, Gretchen Mitchell and Mary Hawkes of Crewe, VA and Amy Johnson, Amelia, VA.


She was adored by her great nieces and nephews Aaron Johnson, Andre Johnson, Kai Belfon Bronx, NY and Courtney Walker, Clinton, Maryland. A devoted friend Nancy Soto, Bronx NY and numerous friends, other relatives, and church family.
