Obituary for Neldonia Hardy Tucker
NELDONIA SARAH TUCKER, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert H. Hardy, Sr. was born on December 23, 1955 in Blackstone, VA. She departed her life after many trials and testimonies on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Chesterfield, VA.
Nell was educated and graduated from Nottoway Senior High School. She also graduated from Virginia State College of Petersburg, VA in 1978.
Nell was joined in holy matrimony in November 1979 to Francis Tucker, to this union “Tiana” was born in 1982.
Nell was a very dedicated employee of Consolidated Bank & Trust in Richmond, VA until her health started to fail.
Nell was baptized at an early age. She was president of the choir for a few years, and was a faithful member of the church choir until her health failed. She was also a member of the Pastor’s Aid Society, the Women’s Ministry and attended Sunday School.
Nell had a flair for fashion always. She was a blessing to be around. We will truly miss her but we will enjoy her spirit.
Nell leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Francis Tucker, daughter, Tiana Tucker, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Hardy, Sr., all of Blackstone, VA; a sister, Gwen Tuck of Philadelphia, PA; brothers, Herbert Hardy, Jr. of Arlington, VA and Alfonza Hardy of Blackstone, VA; three special aunts, Mrs. Lucille Garnett, Mrs. Ethel Roy and Mrs. Bertha Davis, all of Blackstone, VA; a devoted nephew, Awan, whom she loved so much; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Friday, July 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Cellar Creek Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
