Obituary for Nannie M. Owens
Nannie Marie Owens, affectionately known as Marie to her family and loved ones made her way home on Monday, January 11, 2021 while residing at Wellsprings Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the youngest of twenty-two children born to Nannie Lee and Granderson Robinson in Amelia, VA.
Marie married the love of her life, Percell, on August 8, 1967 and from that union was born five children whom she loved dearly. Marie was a homemaker who loved to cook, crochet, and watch sci-fi movies, she also enjoyed gospel and old school RnB quartet concerts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nannie and Granderson, as well as a few of her siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Percell; four sons, Percell Jr. (Marilyn), Perry (Tamica), Pernell (Marjorie, Bulynda) and Darrell (Shaniell); one daughter, Tiera; twenty-three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Gracie, William (Bo), Ruth, Louis (LV), Ernestine, Joyce Ann, Jacqueline, Delores and Marian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside Services Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Promise Land Baptist Church, Amelia.
