Obituary for Myrtle J. Neal
On the dawn of Tuesday of August 24th 2010, Our Heavenly Father called our mother, MYRTLE JONES NEAL, home for eternal rest. “Therefore, our father who art in heaven hollow be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And do not lead us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom and the power and glory forever. Amen.
Myrtle was the daughter of the late Samuel and Hilda Jones. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Spring Hill Baptist Church. She attended Luther H. Foster High, in Nottoway County, VA.
During her walk of life she was joined in holy matrimony with the late SGT James Edward Neal of Blackstone, VA. From this union they were blessed with three precious daughters.
In 1995, she renewed her faith with Christ and joined Commandment Apostolic Worship Center. She was then named “Church Mother”
Left to cherish her prominent legacy are “loving devoted daughters” Angela Neal Blackwell (Greensboro NC), Ludelia H. Neal (Blackstone VA) and Janice M. Neal (Fayetteville NC), six grandchildren: “devoted grandson” Kelvin Neal (Katina) of Crewe VA, Gus Blackwell, Jr. (LaShaun), Crystal Love, DeMuriel Parker, Travis Blackwell, Kristen Morgan (James), fourteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and two very “devoted friends” William Walker and Herman Fitzgerald.
Funeral Services Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Commandment Apostolic Worship Center, Blackstone with interment in the Greenvew Cemetery, Blackstone.
