On Sunday morning, March 30, 2025, Murriel Robinson Gass awaited God’s call to life and proceeded to her heavenly home to rest.
Murriel was born October 2, 1938, to the late Dan and Florence Robinson of Amelia County, Virginia. She was baptized and joined Promise Land Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated Russell Grove High school in 1957, moving on to earning her LPN from MCV in 1963, and worked hard to become an RN level III by 2001.
Even after her retirement in 2003 she continued to excel in her nursing career more than 10 years after her retirement.
Nursing was a proud accomplishment of Murriel, she was devoted to her practice, and it shined through her loving and nurturing spirit. Even in her last days she kept this nurturing spirit, showering her family with love, leaving behind precious memories.
Murriel leaves a cherished legacy of these precious memories. Devoted husband Eugene Gass, Her loving son Phillip (Annie) Gass. Grandchildren: Ashley, Kyra, Heavenly and Yaffael Gass. Also, she leaves behind five precious great grandchildren: Arryn and Jashya Gass, Moriya Wilson, and E’ Turnity and Miracle Brown, as well as five siblings Florence Wade, James Robinson, Ernest Robinson, Alice Royal, and Wayne Robinson and their spouses, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Murriel was preceded in death by her father Dan Robinson and her mother Florence Epps Robinson as well as her sisters Betty Holman and Louise Archer and her brother Robert Robinson.
Murriel's final words as she was beginning to transition from this earthly life were to her son and grandchildren, "I love all my babies so much."
