Obituary for Milton M. Morgan

Mr. Milton Montgomery Morgan, affectionally known as “Butch”, son of Milton Love Sr. and the late Beulah Morgan, was born on March 27, 1951, and raised in Crewe, VA. He departed this life at his residence on March 15, 2025.

Butch was a 1970 graduate of the former Luther H. Foster High School in Nottoway, Virginia. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force for 3 years and worked for the United States Defense Supply for 22 years. He then worked at Walmart in Richmond and Blackstone, Virginia, for a total of 18 years.

In his spare time, Butch enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy; he loved a good western movie; he enjoyed listening to 70’s R&B music, he liked convertible and sports cars, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

Butch is preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Morgan, his brother Joe Bland, and his son, Marlon M. Morgan. He leaves cherished memories to his beloved wife of 51 years, Shirley Morgan of Crewe, VA; his children: Milton Maurice “Pee-Wee” Lovett of Rochester, NY; Milton M. Morgan (Renea) of Chesterfield, VA; Dr. Shiresse De Freitas (Will) of Annapolis, MD; Sherilyn Lau (Kevin) of Elkins Park, PA. Nine Grandchildren: Kalani Morgan, Malachi Morgan, Malik Lovett, Devanie Lovett, De Kari Lovett, Mya Morgan, Myles Morgan, Kara Lau, and Kori Lau. His father, Milton Love Sr. of NY, and brothers Milton Love, Jr. and Scott Love of NY. His uncle Bobby Morgan (Maxine) of FL, sisters Lydia Brown of MD, and Iris Marshall of TN. Sisters-in-law: Joyce Bland of Petersburg, VA, and Elenora Dalton of Crewe, VA; Cousins: Wanda (Kenny) Hodges of NC, Kim White of NC, Tina (Emmett) Johnson of GA. And a host of loved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
