Obituary for Melvin P. Tucker, Jr.
Melvin Preston Tucker Jr. went home on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 morning to his eternal resting home. Melvin is the son of Melvin Preston Tucker Sr. and Barbara Ann Tucker born on June 16, 1973 in Petersburg, VA.

Melvin graduated from Nottoway High School with the class of 1991. He also completed two years at Southside Community College in Lawrenceville, VA majoring in pre-nursing. He accepted Christ at Tabernacle Baptist Church of Chesterfield, VA. Melvin worked in several industries as a laborer and counselor aide before becoming disabled in 2014.

Melvin’s favorite past times were fishing and chilling with his loved and cherished cousins and friends whom he affectionately referred to as “Cuz and Bro”.

Melvin loved his family more than his own life. He is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Sr. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loving and devoted children TaMari, Tashanika and Trinity Tucker; his grandson CaMari Tucker; his mother, Barbara Tucker; two sisters, Angela Tucker-Epps (Frank) and Fanita Cooke (Chris) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

Funeral Services Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home, Blackstone. Interment private.
