MCKATER ATWOOD LEE departed this life on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 10:35 a.m. in Columbus, OH. McKater was born on August 31, 1954 to Rennie Marion Harris Lee and the late Atwood Goldburg Lee of Prince Edward County.
He attended Prince Edward County Public School in Farmville, VA. At an early age McKater joined High Rock Baptist Church of Rice, VA.
McKater leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Catherine Lee of Columbus, OH; four loving and devoted daughters, Tonya Lee and Sonya Lee of Burkeville, VA, Shawuna Lee Bailey of Columbus, OH and Patricia Lee of Columbus, OH; one son-in-law, Paul Bailey; one stepdaughter, Vanessa McNeil of Reynoldsburg, OH; six grandchildren and fifteen step-grandchildren; his loving mother, Rennie H. Lee of Burkeville, VA; three sisters, Genell Pitts of Madison, AL, Sinthera Dodson and Ruth Chakley of Chesterfield County, VA; one brother, Carlon Lee, Sr. of Burkeville, VA; three brothers-in-law, Richard Pitts of Madison, AL, Frankey Chakley of Chesterfield County, VA and Warren Rushing of New Jersey; four stepsons; two sisters-in-law; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home Chapel, Amelia with private burial.
