Obituary for Mary "Worsham" Washington
On Wednesday morning, September 25, 2019, God called home Mary Arlene “Worsham” Washington, 59 of Chesterfield, VA.
Mary was born in Nottoway County, VA on August 12, 1960 to the late Jacklyn Worsham, Sr. and Clara B. Worsham.
Mary graduated from Nottoway County Public school in 1978 and shortly after she pursued her career in nursing. In 1988 Mary moved to Richmond, VA where she worked at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center up until she retired in 2009.
Mary was a true servant of God; she dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and her faith in God was unshaken.
Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Matthew F. Worsham and Wilbert “Wright” Worsham. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Patrick B. Washington of 24 years; two children, a daughter, Keiona C. Johnson-Fletcher and a son, William P. Johnson, Jr.; a son-in-law, Reginald L. Fletcher; one grandchild, Jamel T. Lloyd; eight siblings, Mildred Clark, Otis (Louise) Worsham of Amelia, VA, Clara Jones, Thelma Worsham, Ethel (James) Coleman, Barbara Worsham of Blackstone, VA, Jacklyn Worsham of Richmond, VA and Rebecca Worsham of Chesterfield, VA; a devoted friend, Rosalee Epps of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Sunday, September 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.at Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone. Interment Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
