Obituary for Mary G. Campbell
MARY GRAY CAMPBELL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3, 2010. She was born in Nottoway County on December 19, 1922 to the late Rueben E. and Alease Oliver Gray.
Mary graduated from the Nottoway Training School. She joined the Union Baptist Church at an early age, and later renewed her membership under the pastorate of Reverend James. L. Green.
She was employed by the Piedmont Hospital in Burkeville, VA from where she retired due to disability.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Collins Campbell; a son, Charles H. Gray; and a brother, Herman Gray.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Delois G. Williams of Blackstone, VA; one son, Edward Gray of Crewe, VA; one son-in-law, John E. Williams; one daughter-in-law, Corine S. Gray; thirteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.
Funeral Service Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, Crewe with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
