Obituary for Mary Frances Goodman
Mary Frances Morris Goodman, departed this life on June 18, 2017 at her home in Amelia, Virginia. She was born November 27, 1931 in Dover, Delaware to Thomas and Sarah Morris, they both preceded her in death.
Mary was educated in the Delaware School System and attended Delaware State College.
Mary was united in marriage to Early M. Goodman, Sr., and to that union three children were born, Early Jr. (deceased), Thomas and Mildred.
Mary was employed as a housekeeper for a number of families in Long Island, New York.
After Mary and her husband Early retired, they moved to Amelia, and became members of Little Union Baptist Church. She became a member of the Missionary Ministry. She was a person always willing to help anyone in need.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Early M. Goodman, Sr.; children, Thomas Goodman and Mildred Bonner, both of Medford, New York; three grandchildren, Alicia Bonner of Medford, New York, Micheal Greene of Shirley, New York and Alexandria Goodman of Lauelton, New York; sisters-in-law Sarah Delaney of Amelia, Virginia and Laura Delaney of Middle Island, New York; brothers-in-law, Ralph Goodman of Amelia, Virginia and Nick Nixon of Dover, Delaware; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services Friday, June 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Union Baptist Church, Amelia with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
