Obituary for Mary B. Allicott
Mary E. Blackwell Evans Allicott entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 in Crewe, Virginia. Daughter of the late Rena and Luther Blackwell, she was born October 10, 1938. She attended Nottoway Public School, and graduated from Luther H. Foster High School in 1958. Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Morris O. Evans, Sr. and Eugene Allicott; her two sons, Morris O. Evans, Jr. and Kevin L. Evans, but leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Dorothy Redmon (Eugene) of Richmond, VA and Barbara Knight of Blackstone, VA and her devoted friend George Flowers of Richmond, VA; one brother, Roy Blackwell (Edith) of Blackstone, VA; seven grandchildren, Destiny, Eugenia, Ashley and Cassandra Evans, Ronnie and Ari Nicholas and TaShawn Jones; seven great grandchildren; two aunts, Ethel Bowser of Blackstone, VA and Lucille Blackwell of Roanoke, VA; sisters-in-law, Edna Crenshaw, Emma Anderson, and Deloris Evans; brothers-in-law, Chester Evans, William Evans and Elder Isaiah Parker; devoted nephews, Robert Spratley and Charles Jones; devoted friends, Ann Davenport, Eunice Lee and Jeannette Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 12:00 noon from Little Mount Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.W.E.
