Martha Ann Johnson was born on November 3, 1944 in Nottoway County, Virginia to Walter Johnson, Sr. and Sallie Johnson. She departed this life on Monday, January 26, 2009.
Martha gave her life to Christ and became a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She later changed her membership to Shiloh Baptist Church.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Racheal Blackwell and a grandson, Avery Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five daughters, Patty Johnson, Torita Johnson, Martha D. Johnson, Christie Johnson and Shalonda Johnson; one son, Vincent Johnson; one daughter-in-law, Dionne Johnson; nine grandchildren, Jamese Anderson (Antonio), Tameka Johnson, Montrel Ross, James Johnson, Keondra Johnson, DaVon Ross, Kenya Johnson, Keshon Wainwright, DeMorrise Wyatt and Antonio Anderson; one great grandson, Amari Anderson; four sisters, Ollie Mae Tomonia, Julia Harris, Corina Harris and Emma Johnson; two brothers, Walter Johnson, Jr. and Dudley Johnson; brother-in-law, Richard Harris, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
