Obituary for Mark A. Delaney
Mark A. Delaney, son of Diane and Mark Delaney was born in Farmville at Southside Community Hospital. He departed this life on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
He attended school in Nottoway and graduated from Nottoway Senior High School in 1994. At an early age he was baptized and joined Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Crewe, VA.
He was employed by Nottoway Corrections for a short time, after that he cut hair and did odd jobs.
He loved cooking, especially on the grill. When his mother was too ill to cook for herself, he prepared and cooked her meals.
He leaves to cherish his memory:Â his loving mother and father; three sons, RaeKwon, Rasheem and Nasir; one daughter, Jakeyla; grandmother, Gertrude Payne; four aunts, Varerie (Lawrence), Pamela (Shawn), Barbara (Dorsey) and Debbie; two uncles, Leonard (Marcia) and Donnell (Lillie Mae); a devoted friend, Tara; two great aunts, Lillie (Glendon) and Shelia; one great uncle, Rudolph (Sonja); and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Fourth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Crewe with interment in the Jackson Cemetery, Crewe.
