Obituary for Maris L. Trueheart
On January 31, 2014, Maris L. Trueheart Sr. was called home to be with the Lord. Maris, son of Earnest Trueheart (Lessie) and the late Sallie Trueheart, was born on November 22, 1961 in Prince Edward County.
Maris attended Prince Edward County public schools. He was a certified heavy equipment operator and self-employed. He enjoyed playing the drums for multiple churches and volunteering in the community. He was a member at Pilgrim Baptist Church. He was a wonderful loving father and grandfather.
Maris was preceded in death by his mother, Sallie Trueheart and a brother Bobby Haskins, but leaves to cherish his wonderful memories:Â a loving father Earnest Trueheart (Lessie) of Victoria, VA; his significant other, Valerie Doctor of Richmond, VA; two sons, Maris Trueheart Jr. (Antoinette), and LaTroise Trueheart of Richmond, VA; one daughter, LaQuisha Trueheart of Richmond, VA; one sister, Earnesto Trueheart of Rice, VA; four grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally, Martaz, LaTrell, Alexis and Malachi Trueheart of Richmond, VA; two nephews, Warren Haskins and Lawayne Foster; one niece, Zyrain Foster of Rice, VA; two great nephews; one great niece; six aunts, Odessa Haskins, Hattie Dabney, Florine Haskins of Rice, VA, Inez Trueheart of Hampton, VA, Martha Bland (Horace) and Graceann Watson (Waverly) of Amelia, VA; three uncles, Jerry Trueheart (Linda) of Waco, TX, Herbert Trueheart and Winston Trueheart of Amelia, VA; and a host of cousin, extended family and devoted friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Maris L. Trueheart of Richmond and formerly of Rice will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at High Rock Baptist Church, Rice with interment in the church cemetery.
