Obituary for Mario Bragg
With God’s purpose and plans being completed for Mario Bragg, on Wednesday afternoon, May 22, 2013, the Angel of the Lord descended and carried him to his eternal home of rest, free from pain and suffering.
Mario was born June 8, 1973 to Thomas J. Bragg of Blackstone, Virginia and the late Rosa Watkins Bragg of South Hill, Virginia.
He was educated in the Mecklenburg County public school system. He was employed by Automotive Shop Equipment, Drive Time and Richmond Ford, where he was a state inspector and mechanic.
He accepted Christ, was baptized, and joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Amelia, Virginia.  He finished his spiritual calling as a faithful member and served on the Trustee Ministry of the Union Branch Baptist Church, Amelia, Virginia.
Mario was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Tiffany Pegram on December 24, 2000.  Together they were the proud parents of two “little boys” as he affectionately referred to his daughters, KaMario Bragg and Jazmyn Perkinson. He was also an influential father figure in the life of KeShera’ Green.
Mario was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa beloved grandparents Whit and Hester Watkins, aunt, Emma Watkins and uncles, James, Wesley, Horace, and Roosevelt Watkins.   
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Tiffany; three daughters, KaMario, Jazmyn, and KeShera’; one grandchild, Faith; father, Thomas D. Bragg (Dorothy Meredith); dedicated father figure, George Rainey; father and mother-in-law, Oscar “Poppie” and Viola “Nannie P-gum” Pegram; five sisters, Tarry Ford(Ray) of South Hill, VA, Crystal Bragg of Blackstone, VA, Shaneka Bragg, Senethia Bragg, Brittany Bragg all of Richmond, VA ;  two brothers, Thomas D. Bragg of Blackstone, VA  and Derrick Bragg of South Hill, VA; one brother-in-law, Maurice Pegram(Vianney); five aunts, Grace Jones, Flossie Watkins,Verta Watkins, and Queen Williams all of South Hill, VA, Martha Walker of New York; two uncles William Bragg of Blackstone, VA, Whitney Watkins(Nancy) of South Hill, VA; a host of nieces and nephews, two devoted, Neil and DaQwante; a host of cousins and friends, six devoted, Anthony Edwards,  Mondrell (Quint) Smith, Latonya Foster, Henry Pegram, Mr. and Mrs. B. Devoted employers, Robert “Rob” Moskalski and Teri Evans of Automotive Shop Equipment, Inc.  Those we love must someday pass
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at W.E. HAWKES & SON FUNERAL HOME in Blackstone, VA and Monday , May 27, 2013 from 12 noon until 8 p.m. at the  MICHAEL W. HAWKES FUNERAL HOME in Amelia, VA.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at  Hope Chapel, 9661 Wayside Ave., Amelia, VA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to T. Bragg, c/o  The Mario Bragg Automotive Scholarship Fund #2618 at Wells Fargo Banks or see a family member.

Michael W. Hawkes Funeral Home of Amelia in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Services: will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at  11:00 a.m. at Hope Chapel , 9661 Wayside Ave., Amelia, VA.

Interment: Virginia Veterans Cemetery
