Obituary for Margaret L. Epps
Margaret Louise Epps departed this life and entered into eternal rest on July 6, 2019 at her home. Although she was an angel on earth, God had a higher calling for her to become one of his angels in heaven.
Margaret was educated in Nottoway County Public Schools and graduated from Luther H. foster High School with the class of 1959.
At a very young age she joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Burkeville, VA. In her later years she worked in Richmond, VA, babysitting/raising her “children”, to working at Luv ‘N Oven as a cook in Crewe and Heritage Hall in Blackstone as a CNA. Margaret worked at various jobs and loved people by working with the public. She worked at Super Dollar in Crewe, where she loved “fussing” with the customers for seventeen plus years. She enjoyed young people as well as the elderly. If she didn’t fuss at you she probably wasn’t feeling good on that day.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memories: her loving daughter, Christeller Robertson; one granddaughter, Sha’Kara Robertson and a loving son-in-law, Ronald M. Robertson, all of Crewe, VA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Margaret will forever be loved, cherished and remembered by her family and friends that she leaves behind, and a devoted friend, Beulah Townes of New York with whom she talked to often by phone, they called each other “Big Bum” and “Bum”, and they took each other as “sisters”.
Funeral Services Friday, July 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Burkeville. Interment Jackson Cemetery, Crewe.
W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of arrangements.
