Madeline Crenshaw, age 62, passed away peacefully on October 18 at Johnston Willis Hospital in Chesterfield, Virginia. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of the late William and Alice Oldenburg.
A proud and dedicated patriot, Madeline served her country in the United States Army from 1982 to 1985. Her service was a testament to her strength, courage, and unwavering commitment to her nation. As a woman of faith, Madeline was also a devoted Christian, finding solace and guidance in her spiritual beliefs.
Madeline's legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Delana Person, of Petersburg, Virginia, who was the light of her life. Madeline also leaves behind her treasured siblings: Mrs. Marlene (John) O'Connor of Worcester, Mrs. Marilyn (Allen) Loyd of California, Mrs. Marsha (Charles) Ferrante of New York, and her sisters Marie, Marilee, Marriann, Maribeth, and Marina, all residing in Worcester. Her memory is further cherished by her three brothers, Randy, William, and Theron, also of Worcester.
Throughout her life, Madeline was blessed with the friendship of her “bonus sister” Avis Johnson and the companionship of her dear friend, Alexiz Williams.
Madeline will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her spirit of love and warmth touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
