Obituary for Maciele W. Peace
MACIELE WALKER PEACE a native of Nottoway County, Blackstone, VA was born November 26, 1936 to Stanley and Cora Walker. She departed this life on January 9, 2009 at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, VA.
She attended the Nottoway County Public School, graduating from Luther H. Foster High School.
She furthered her education at the Cunningham Beauty School in Richmond, VA. Studied social work at New York Community College in New York City. Received a certificate for Certified Nursing Assistance.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Blackstone, VA. She joined First Baptist Church of South Richmond under the leadership of Reverend Dwight Jones. She returned back home and was united with the Jerusalem Church Family.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving family: son, Harold Peace, Jr.; nieces, Rosemary Jenkins (Craig), Evelyn Coleman (Moses) and Dorothy Banks; nephew, Peter Evans (Jean); uncle, James Richard Walker, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Thelma Walker, Rebecca Irby, Virginia Dunley, Rosa Lee Clark and Yolinda Harvey; brother-in-law, Thomas Peace; devoted friends, Nathan Sheard, Nina McCord, Rita Warren, Annie Wilson, Annie Rowe, Jackie Worsham and others; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
