Obituary for Mabel L. Green Reynolds
MABEL L. GREEN REYNOLDS, daughter of the late Robert Henry Green and Sarah Love Green was born January 12, 1932 in Nottoway County.
Mabel attended the Nottoway County school system and graduated from Luther H. Foster High School in June 1950.
Mabel moved to Richmond, VA and later to Philadelphia, PA where she made her home. She professed her faith in God and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1976.
In 1983 she married Clarence Reynolds and no children were born to this union. She was predeceased by him in 1996.
Mabel departed this life suddenly on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at her home in Philadelphia, PA. She faithfully tried to come home every year to visit her family. This year she visited the month of September, before her passing two weeks later.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four siblings, Henry Green (Sarah), Alma G. Fitzgerald, Sylvester Green and Mildred Green, all of Nottoway, VA; many nieces, nephews and cousins; two long time friends, Gloria Smith and Shirley Wilson; a god-daughter, Tiwanna Moseley.
Funeral Services Thursday, October 18, 2012 at W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Blackstone with interment in the Greenview Cemetery, Blackstone.
