Obituary for Ludelia "Snookie" Walker
Ludelia Neal Walker, affectionately known as "Snookie", the daughter of the late Myrtle and James Edward Neal was born January 18, 1958 in Blackstone, VA. She answered God's sudden whisper at her home in Fayetteville, NC on Thursday, October 3, 2019.
Ludelia graduated from Nottoway High School in 1977 and proceeded to Southside VA Community College to major in Human Services. She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Church in Blackstone, VA. Ludelia would attend services at Commandment Apostolic Faith Church when she could. She would often say it was her home church.
Ludelia worked at Levi Strauss Factory, Fort Pickett NCO, and for many years in different capacities of the nursing field, to include Brandermill and private duty. Ludelia loved helping and caring for others. Additionally, she knew how to make you laugh and feel loved.
Ludelia was married to the love of her life, William Walker who preceded her in eternal sleep. She is survived by her sisters, Angelia and Janice (Richard), both of North Carolina; three stepchildren, Shelita, William (Crystal), both of Blackstone, VA and Samuel (Sonia) of Pennsylvania; two sisters-in-law, Lillie of New York and Maxcine of Petersburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and so many friends.
Funeral Services Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Commandment Apostolic Faith Worship Center, Blackstone. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia.
