Obituary for Lucy Mae Robertson
Lucy Mae Jackson Robertson was born on July 10, 1943 to the late Carter and Bertha Jackson of Burkeville, VA.  On November 27, 2011 she departed this life at Southside Community Hospital.
Lucy received her education at Luther H. Foster High School as a graduate of the class of 1962.  She was employed at Craddock and Terry, Caddies and Steps, where she loved to sew.
On April 24, 1965 she was united in Holy Matrimony to her high school sweetheart Clarence Robertson, to this union two children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memories:  her husband Clarence W. Robertson; two daughters Lisa Brown of Farmville, VA and Karen (Loyd) Qawi of Burkeville, VA; four grandchildren Antrown Hurt of Burkeville, VA, Windell Crawley of Richmond, VA, Justin Evans and Shaquana Brown, both of Burkeville, VA; two brothers Robert (Eunice) Jackson of Crewe, VA and James (Doris) Jackson of Burkeville, VA; five sisters Berthia Jackson, Nettie (David) Palmer, both of Burkeville, VA, Hazel (Ronnie) Johnson of Newark, NJ, Lillian (Nathaniel) Jones of Crewe, VA and Mary (Joseph) Edmonds of Newark, NJ; two aunts Louise Gilliam of Burkeville, VA and Isabelle Lucas of Detroit, MI; one uncle James Todd of Burkeville, VA; one brother-in-law Frank Robertson of Crewe, VA; three sisters-in-law Marion Giles of Baltimore, MD, Bernice Robertson Fowlkes of Crewe, VA and Annie Brooks of Jacksonville, FL; one long time devoted best friend Rebecca Gaffney of Burkeville, VA; two devoted nieces Darlene (Wilford) Baker of Crewe, VA and Patricia Castillo of Stony Creek, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Services Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Dominion Worship Center, Crewe with interment in the Gravel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Jetersville.
W.E. Hawkes & Son Funeral Home of Blackstone in charge of arrangements.
