Obituary for Lucille Royal Booker
We are gathered here today under the wings of our Heavenly Father to give honor, praise and thanks to God for the life and memory of sister LUCILLE ROYAL BOOKER.
Lucille was born on September 28, 1931, to the late Johnny and Estelle Gates Royal. She was affectionately known as “Nanny”, “Auntie” and “Aunt Lulu” by her grandchildren and family members.
At an early age, she confessed Christ, was baptized, and joined the Mount Olive Baptist Church. She attended Chula School. She loved to cook and work in her flower garden. She was employed by the Truck Stop in Amelia, Virginia and later Domestic Work in both Richmond and Amelia, Virginia. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Joe Lewis Booker.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Joe Lewis Booker, daughter, Mary Royal and siblings – Henry, Johnny Boy, Archer, Alberta, Daisy, Courtney and Mary Liza.
She leaves to her memory: son- Kenneth, daughters -Alberta and Pearline, and step-daughter – Patricia and a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing for Mrs. Booker will be Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 2 to 6 PM.
Funeral Service Monday, August 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Amelia. Interment church cemetery.
