Obituary for Louis W. Ford, Jr.
Louis William Ford, Jr., 69, of Hebron, CT, beloved husband of Joyce (Jennings) Ford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2017, with his wife by his side.  Born in Crewe, VA to Daisy (Bland) Ford and the late Louis W. Ford Sr., he has lived most of his life in Hebron. At a young age, he became a member of Eleven Oaks Baptist Church. He attended elementary school in Crewe, VA, after graduating from Luther H. Foster High School he relocated to CT where he married his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Joyce Jennings. Louis worked many years as a machinist at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and Colt’s Firearms.  He became a licensed Sprinkler Fitter, belonged to the National Association of Minority Contractors, and was a successful business owner for the last thirty years.  Louis had an outgoing and sociable personality that afforded him many friends. He enjoyed helping his friends and family with home/business renovations and repairs. He served as a role model often providing guidance, wisdom, and training to the younger generations. He enjoyed restoring antique cars, riding his Harley, watching Chillerz, the History Channel and National Geographic, and most of all fiddling and exploring with his cell phone. Besides his wife Joyce of Hebron, he is survived by his mother Daisy Pearl Ford (Crewe, VA); his daughter Chiffon D. Ford (Bloomfield, CT); and his sister Sundeany Fitzgerald (Crewe, VA), two nephews Samuel E. (Cristin) Fitzgerald, III (Ashburn, VA) and Louis William Ford Fitzgerald (Norfolk, VA), 7 sisters-in-law, 5 brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10AM until 8PM. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7pm
Funeral Services Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Eleven Oaks Baptist Church, Crewe. Interment Crewe Cemetery.
