Obituary for Loretta C. Parrish
Loretta Craft Parrish., 67 of Crewe, Va. entered eternal rest and peace on Friday, March 18, 2022 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Amelia County, VA on February 28,1955 to the late Martha Craft Robertson and Lloyd W. Craft.
She was educated in Amelia County Public Schools and graduated a member of The Class of 1973. At an early age, she was baptized at the Good Hope Baptist Church and later joined Richmond Christian Center where she re-dedicated her life to Christ and became an Evangelist.
She continued her studies at Southside Community Hospital where she became an LPN. Loretta was employed at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in Burkeville, Va. for over a decade and Heritage Hall in Blackstone, Va. over 20 years where she exemplified being a true servant caring for others. She was a diligent worker until her health began to fail. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo Solitaire and prayer walks.
On September 29, 1979, she joined Daniel Parrish Sr. in holy matrimony. God saw fit to cross their paths and making them one. Their union was blessed with four children.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Craft and Martha Craft Robertson; brother, Reginald Craft Sr.; grandson, Elijah Jordan and niece, Marjessa Anderson
Left to cherish Loretta’s precious memories are her loving and devoted husband of 42 years, Daniel H. Parrish Sr. of Crewe, VA., sons; Keith L. Craft of Crewe, VA. and Daniel H. Parrish Jr. (Lakeisha) of Crewe, VA, daughters; Markeita Parrish of Crewe, VA. and Lakoata Parrish (Shawn) of Amelia, VA., grandchildren; Sidney, Keith, Kenya, Allahna, Raven, Zoey, LaQuazia, Djameria, Daniel, Jazmira, Kiona, Savaria, Jalaya, Prince, Amariyai and Zoriyah, great-grandchildren; Daevon, D’Airra, Kameron, Kylen, Kamya, Nyla and Dae’mone, brother; Lloyd Craft (Twaun), sisters; Shirley Chalkley (Johnny), Charlene Booker (Freddie), Martha Jefferson and Anissa (Buffy) Trueheart, sisters-in-law; Edith Craft, Francis Spencer, Brenda Parrish and Annie Burnett, brothers-in-law; Leroy Parrish and Curtis Parrish and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
