Obituary for Lonnie J. Bolden, Sr.
Lonnie Jerome Bolden, Sr., age 71 went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Southside Hospital. He was born November 3, 1952 in Amelia County to Richard and Mary Bolden. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Lonnie gave his life to the Lord at a young age and was a member at Ebenezer “Baptist Church in Jetersville, Virginia. He attended Amelia High School. After high school he entered into the United States Army.
Lonnie lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, spending time with family and friends, playing horse shoes, fishing, hunting, playing pool and the joy of having a good time. Most of all he loved to sing and was a member of the Gospel Starlights.
Lonnie is survived by his two sons, Lonnie Bolden, Jr. and Lamon Tunstell; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
