Lloyd Roosevelt Wynn, also known as Sonny Boy, 92 years, 11 & 1/3 months old, went to rest with his family on March 3, 2024 at McGuire Military/Veterans Hospital while residing in their Community Living Center.

He was born in Blackstone on March 19, 1931 to his parents, the late Warren Wynn, Sr. and the late Fannie Davis Wynn who with his brothers were all members of the Springhill Baptist Church family. Upon finishing high school, he went on to join the United States Navy where he served this country for 10 years as a Culinary Arts Chef. After obtaining a very respectable reputation as a chef, he got out of the Navy, rested for a year from all the deep sea sailing then re-enlisted in the U.S. Army for 20 more years of service for this country.
