Obituary for Linwood Blackwell, Jr.
Linwood Wesley Blackwell, Jr., son of the late Linwood Blackwell and Clara J. Blackwell was born on July 11, 1949 and departed this life on February 2, 2021.
Linwood grew up in Lunenburg County. At a young age, he was baptized and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kenbridge, VA. He knew the Lord and whenever I would to visit him, he would always say before I leave, “Let me say a little prayer for you”.
Linwood did farm work in Lunenburg and Nottoway County. He was a resident at the Callahan Manor for many years. His hobby was fishing, the lake was the love of his life.
Linwood leaves to cherish his memory: six sisters, Doris Harris (Kat), Edna Blackwell, Christine Craig, Joyce Williams (John), Gloria Fitzgerald and Esther B. Seward; three brothers, James Blackwell (Jean), Leroy Blackwell (Ompa) and Robert Blackwell (Tara); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
