Obituary for Linda Inez Love
On Sunday morning, July 19, 2009, God was looking down from his great high heaven and called Sister Linda Inez Love on home.
Linda was born September 5, 1959 to Barbara B. Love and the late Richard E. Love, Sr. in Mannboro, VA. She was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and was said not to live past the age of 20.
With God’s grace and mercy, Linda was baptized at an early age and became a member of Branches Runn Baptist Church. She served as a Jr. Usher, member of Sunday School and Celestrial Chorus, honorary member of the Missionary. She was crowned queen for the NAACP to represent Branches Runn.
She participated and placed in the Special Olympics. Linda attended and graduated from Amelia County High School in 1979 and completed skill training classes in Farmville & Nottoway County thereafter.
Linda possessed the fruits of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self control. She touched the lives of many and expressed her love for the Lord in her favorite hymn, “Oh How I Love Jesus”.
Linda was proceeded in death by her father, Richard E. Love, Sr and brother, Reginald E. Love. She leaves to cherish her loving and devoted mother, Deaconess Barbara B. Love; two brothers, Richard E. Love, Jr. and Maurice Love, Sr. (Clarissa); two sisters, Emma L. Adu and Barbara J. Love (Dwayne); aunts, Julia Robinson (Sim), Lula B. White, Rebecca B. Johnson, Helen B. Terry, Martha Brown, Ruth Brown and Bernice Brown; uncles, Joe Lewis Love (Deloris), William M. Brown, Sr. (Frances), Solomon Brown (Eleanor), Waverly E. Brown, Sr. (Ann); great aunt, Annie Patillo; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Branches Runn Baptist Church, Amelia with interment in the church cemetery.
