Obituary for Linda E. Worsham
Ms. Linda E. Worsham, 52 or Richmond, VA passed peacefully into eternal rest just as she lived her life, surrounded by her loved ones, Tuesday morning May, 22, 2012 at VCU Health System, Richmond, VA.
Linda was born August 11, 1959 in Nottoway County. She received her education in Nottoway County Public School System and was a graduate of the class of 1977. Linda also attended Amelia/Nottoway Vocational School where she received a CNA Certificate. Linda was employed at Ace Hardware Corporation for ten years, where she received a number of certificates.
At an early age, she confessed Christ, was baptized and became a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church, Blackstone, VA. Linda loved God, her church and her pastor, Reverend Norman L. Davis.
Linda had a genuine, unconditional love for her family. Held her sons always close to her heart. For the mother that gave her life, there wasn’t anything she wanted for that Linda didn’t make sure she got. True friends that Linda had was like family to her. Linda lived her life to the fullest. She loved much, laugh often and touched the lives of many with her infectious spirit and generosity.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Haywood Patterson, Jr.; grandparents, Theodore and Gladys Elder and Haywood and Lucille Patterson, Sr.
Linda leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted sons, Tony and Jacques Elder; three grandchildren, Shyesha Booker, Ketoria Gregory and Larry Elder; loving mother, Morine Patterson; six sisters, Gwendolyn Craig (Kevin), Floreace Claiborne, Gertie Elder, Wanda Coleman, Cynthia Patterson and Sherry Brown (Kevin); three brothers, Milton Elder, Sherwood and George Patterson; one brother by another mother, Jeffrey Patterson; brother-in-law, Randolph Coleman; godson, Malcom Coleman; twelve nieces; seven nephews, twenty-six great nieces and nephews; one great, great nephew; six aunts; three uncles; three devoted cousins, Carol Johnson, Charlotte and Alvester Elder; a host of other cousins; a long devoted friend, Donne’ Castello and Rosa Lee.
Funeral Services Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, Blackstone with interment in the church cemetery.
